Over the last several months I have written many posts about how to take care of a variety of plants. I wrote those posts because I was growing those things in my garden. Most of my plants are doing really well, of course I did have a few “failures” and “suspected failures”. First of all let’s start with my indoor plants!
My Gerbera Daisy from my Grandma is still holding up, and it has a ton of flower buds, but they just won’t blossom😕. I guess that’s why it’s the only flower plant I currently own😅.
Next, is my sensitive plant, it’s one of my favorites, you can’t eat it unfortunately but you can touch it, and as soon as you trigger their little hairs they will close up their leaves. I keep mine inside because it’s a bit cold for it outside, they like to be at about room temperature.
After the “strange” plants we have my herbs. I have stevia, cilantro, oregano, and maybe sage. I say maybe sage because this is what my sage seeds grew, and this is what the packet looks like🤔:

Last but not least my stevia plant. I haven’t tried drying any leaves yet because I would like it to get a little bit bigger, I don’t think I can plant it outside because it’s used to more southern temperatures, but we shall see.
Finally we get to look at my outdoor plants! My favorite so far is probably the kohlrabi. I’m super excited for it to get bigger!
Next is my one celery plant that I decided to grow, I grew it from a celery stock from the store, and it doesn’t have any strong roots, so we’ll just have to see if it’ll make it.
I also planted a whole packet of radish seeds and they just started to poke up today for their picture!
Unfortunately, my lemon balm didn’t come back this year. However, we had some at the greenhouse I work at so I figured why not buy another! I planted it in a pot this time because it grew really huge last year.
My parsnips haven’t sprouted yet, so I don’t have a picture. I figured a picture of dirt wouldn’t be very exciting.
We also have a whole crop of wood violets taking over our yard so I decided to snap a picture.
And, finally for my outdoor garden I have our raspberry canes. They aren’t only mine but, they were too big and beautiful to leave out of this post. They won’t have any raspberries until later this summer but they are for sure getting big!
We also had some tiny raspberry canes pop up on the other side of our fence. They are fast spreaders and we’ll need to keep them under control or else they’ll be all over the place!

The raspberries look divine!! Wish ours would spread like that. XD
The daisy looks healthy… I hope it blooms for you. We have some lilies we planted that are going nuts with the greenery, but no blooms, for some reason?? *shrug*
As for the maybe-sage… I think I know what it is. It might be Creeping Charlie. We have a lot of that in my neck of the woods. It’s a weed, but it’s not bad to touch, doesn’t make you rashy or anything. It spreads like wildfire, though. You may wanna uproot it and put it in the sun to dry out so it doesn’t jump pots. It’ll get some really pretty bluish flowers on it later in the year if it’s really what I think it is.

Creeping Charlie huh… I wonder how it got in there🤔. If there were seeds in the soil, then the others should have it too because I got the soil from the exact same place. I’ll take your advice and finally get rid of it, maybe I’ll plant more of the “sage” seeds to see if they are all like that. It’ll be an interesting experiment for sure.

Hey Briar! Wow, your garden looks amazing! And ahhh raspberries!! If only they would grow where we live XD (we have one too many deer and rabbits around our house, and it’s hard enough to keep our other plants safe lol.) We’re mostly growing flowers in our garden, though we have some cilantro and tomatoes. I love the mason jar idea; I’ll have to try it with some of our plants.
I’ve never heard of kohlrabi; it it a type of turnip or radish or something?

Thank you! I’m sure your garden looks beautiful too. It’s too bad the deer and rabbits eat your plants😕 have you tried sprinkling them with cayenne pepper? Kohlrabi is really fun, it’s a part of the cabbage family but, it tastes like a mild radish. They grow super fast so now is the time to plant ’em 😄

Oh cool, never would’ve guessed it’s in the cabbage family. Is it good in salads?

I wouldn’t know, I haven’t eaten it before😄. I’m sure they’d be good in a salad though.
