5 Of The Easiest Pets

Hey everyone! Today I will let you know about the easiest pets to take care of! This will depend on how expensive, how much daily care is needed, and characteristics that may make this pet a bit easier than others.

5. Hamsters, Gerbils, and Mice

These 3 tiny rodents are some of the easiest pets. It can be a little expensive at the beginning if you need to purchase a cage, wheel, food bowl, water bottle, and toys. Once these costs are taken care of you will be mostly all set. Every once in awhile you will need to buy food and bedding. Once a week you should do a complete cleaning of your cage, and every day all that is needed is 15 minutes of playtime, a bowl of fresh food, and clean water.

4. Betta Fish and Goldfish

Fish (depending on what kind they are) can be relatively easy to care for. You will need to purchase a tank, water filterer, and hiding places. Other than that you will need to buy fish food and depending on the fish, water purifier. Daily care is simple and all you need to do is feed your fish a couple of fish flakes. Every week or so you will probably need to clean your tank to keep it in great condition.

3. Snails

Snails can make great pets, and you can handle them as well as watch them. They will need shells, hiding places, substrate(like sphagnum moss and soil), and food and water dishes. For daily care snails need their environment spritzed with water, and new food and water. Their diet can be as simple as some fruits and veggie scraps from your kitchen.

2. Bugs

I wrote a post a couple weeks ago about the 5 easiest bugs to keep as pets. All you really need is some substrate, a tank, a few hiding places, and food and water bowls. Some bugs like the Praying Mantis require live food which could make it a little more “high maintenance”. Most bugs don’t even need daily care!

  1. Sea Monkeys

And now, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls… we have reached the easiest pet in the whole universe! The Sea Monkey! These “instant pets” are seriously the easiest to care for. They are a type of shrimp and all they need is a tank filled with purified water, and some Sea Monkey food. Sea Monkeys can live up to 2 years and they are fun to watch. They are called “instant pets” because once you pour the packet of Sea Monkey eggs into your water you will see them start hatching! 5 days after they hatch you can start feeding them food, and once they reach 2 months they should be adults! You will need to clean their tank weekly, but other than that taking care of them is easy.

And that my friends, is the end of yet another blog post! I hope you have a wonderful day!
